Common mistake when operating your drain valve

The drain valve located on the bottom of your spa is a unique design that makes draining your spa a hassle-free task while keeping you dry at the same time.

When attempting to drain your spa, be sure to operate it properly and don’t unscrew the entire unit instead. This will cause the drain unit to detach from the plumbing, thus creating a leak inside the compartment. If this happens by mistake you will need to remove the adjacent panel to the drain valve and screw the unit back in to stop the leaking. Use this video as an additional resource to correctly opening your drain valve.
Be sure that the drain valve protrudes “out” instead of “in” as this ensures that the water won’t drain out if the plug is cross threaded.
